Our Wood Staining Process
Enhance the Natural Character of Wood
We assess the condition, existing finish, and type of wood surface.
Dirt, debris, deteriorated finish, and other contaminants are addressed as necessary.
Previously coated or weathered wood may require additional preparation.
The selected stain is evenly applied according to the needs of the wood and product.
Wood should be clean and dry before staining. Existing finishes, dirt, grease, mildew, and loose wood fibers can interfere with penetration and adhesion, making preparation an essential part of the staining process.

Why Stain Wood?
Staining can add color while allowing the texture and grain of the wood to remain part of the finished appearance. Exterior stains can also help protect properly prepared wood from weather exposure.
